EverLoveLocks

Terms of service

These terms cover buying a lock on EverloveLocks and using the site. By paying for a lock, you agree to them. They are written to be read, so they are short.

What you're buying

A lock is a digital item: a design with your initials and date (and, on Prestige and Eternity, a vow), shown on the bridge at everlovelocks.com. Nothing physical is shipped, and there is no account. You pay once; there is no subscription. What each tier includes is shown on the attach page when you buy.

How long your lock stays

Your lock keeps its place on the bridge for as long as EverloveLocks runs. Its spot can shift slightly when locks next to it are removed, because the bridge closes gaps. If we ever have to shut the site down, we will email every lock owner at least 30 days ahead, and you will be able to save a picture of your lock before it closes.

What you put on your lock

You are responsible for the initials, date and vow you write, and for having the right to use them. You give us permission to show them on the bridge, on your lock's share page and image, and in the emails you ask us to send. A vow you mark private is only shown to people who have its private link.

Don't put anything on a lock that:

Locks we remove

We can remove a lock that breaks these rules, or one we're asked to remove by a person it names. A lock removed because it broke the rules is not refunded. If we remove a lock for any other reason, we refund it in full.

Refunds

A lock is final once it hangs on the bridge: you confirm this at checkout. Typos are fixed for free, and we refund in full if something goes wrong on our side. The details, including the 14-day cancellation for locks attached together, are in the refund policy. You can also take your own lock down at any time, which does not refund it.

Emails to other people

Some features send email to people you name: a partner invited to attach a lock together, an Eternity lock's anniversary reminders, and email cards. Only give us addresses of people who would want to hear from us about your lock. Cards and anniversary reminders include a link to stop them.

Private links

Your lock's private links (to send cards, read a private vow or manage a lock attached together) work for anyone who has them. Keep them to yourself, and share a vow link only with the person it is for. If you lose them, Find my lock sends them again to the email you paid with.

Using the site

Please don't try to break the site, get around its limits, or copy the bridge or its artwork to use elsewhere. The site, its design and the lock artwork belong to EverloveLocks. Your initials, date and vow stay yours.

Age

You must be at least 13 to use the site, and at least 18, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to buy a lock.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep the bridge up and your lock on it, but the site is provided as it is, and we can't promise it will never be slow or briefly unavailable. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything to do with a lock is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Changes and law

If we change these terms, we will update the date below; the terms in place when you bought your lock still apply to that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA.

How we handle your information is in the privacy policy.
